Congratulations! Someone gifted you a set of unfinished wooden Toy Blocks.  

Toy Blocks are a medium/base for teaching.  Six blocks provides 36 faces where you create what you want to teach.  Consider starting with colors, letters, numbers, words, symbols, shapes, and names.  Create what you want.

Start with clean unfinished softwood blocks, Use non toxic craft paints to create your own custom blocks.  See the Paint or Wash page for finishing ideas.

Unfinished blocks are still a useful toy as is.  Children will use their imagination and pretend blocks are food, boxes, cargo, steps, diamonds, nuts, islands, people, boulders.
